    Time Event
    8:50a
    The Cheesecake Factory
So, Amanda and I decide to check out The Cheesecake Factory last nite. Let's just start of by saying I was less than impressed.

First, we get there at 5:30. There's already a 60+ minute wait. Alright, that's fine, we'll live. We hang out at the bar till we finally get seated (about 70 mins, so they at least estimate accurately). We get seated, place our orders, takes Amanda a few minutes to decide b/c they are out of the 1st two things she requests. An hour later (yes, an hour), our waitress comes by and asks if the manager explained everything to us. We look blank, and she says that the chef has vetoed sending out my Jambalaya twice b/c it wasn't right, but that a manager was supposed to have come by to talk to us about it. Grrrrrrr. So, a manager comes by 5 mins later, explains things, apologizes, and offers free dessert (bribe). Not a huge deal, but irritating that a manager apparently forgot to come by the table. So, 5-10 minutes later, our food finally arrives. Amanda's fish was apparently pretty good. My jambalaya (noted as SPICY on the menu), is not. It's not bad, but Zataran's out of the box is better, and hotter. By this time, I'm not even hungry any more. I eat a couple bites, and I'm done. The waitress takes it away, and now a 2nd manager comes by. I explain that I understand they are slammed, but if that's their definition of spicy, they should probably remove that part from the menu (which has ads in it by the way). He takes my dinner off the check.

So, to make a long story short (To Late!!!!), I would give them a couple more weeks to slow down, and figure out which of their cooks are any good. The menu is huge, as is the drinks menu, and the selection is pretty broad. But they need to get their act together before I go back again.
